Saturday Feb 16th

Wow, it has been an experience the past couple of days.  Like we said, we took in our friends dog
and boy he is a handful!  He is still a puppy and is not fully potty trained.  So, it has been a time trying to  get him to go potty outside.  That and he is crate trained.  He stays in his crate when we are gone or when we are sleeping.  So, now that he is at our house and he gets lots more time out of the crate, he doesn't know what to do with himself.  He is also not around other dogs, so he is learning how to play and interact with our dogs.  He is a mile a minute and we always have to keep our eyes on him to make sure that he doesn't potty in the house!  It has been a different experence.   Other than that things are pretty normal.  We went out to dinner last night with some friends to celebrate a retirement from the British Army.  It was a fun night.  Today we are going to get the last part of Jess' valentines present.  About a month ago we were in Aiken and went into a antique shop.  Inside the shop Jess saw a afgan rack that was in the shape of a cactus.  Perfect for our house!  So today we are going to go get it!

Good job to the heiss family for the harry potter trivia question!!!!!!

Dutch Schultz...what a name!! Well we went to North Bend today, that's the town where they filmed Twin Peaks. And we ate in the cafe where a lot of the scenes were. It was kind of cool to go there but the food was awful...oh well! It's kind of a strange little town, I can see why they chose it. Good luck with the puppy!!

Hey just got back from working as a Marshall on the 10th hole of the Nissan Open golf tournament. Spent Friday, Saturday and most of Sunday on the course keeping the crowds quiet while the players were teeing off or putting. I'm in a couple of TV shots on Sunday when Mickleson is playing the 10th but you'll have to look really close to find me. It was an interesting experience and they invited me back for next year. They also asked if I wanted to do the US Open in San Diego next year but I think I'll pass on that one.

Last week we were in Las Vegas, had a good visit with Ree and John, who had flown in from Philly for the week. Ree had a comped suite at the Wynn for one night and Ceasar's also comped her a suite for 4 nights (sometimes it does pay to gamble). It was the first time we had been in the rooms at the the Wynn, it was pretty nice but not worth $400 a night. It was a corner suite on the 35th floor with floor to ceiling windows on two sides overlooking the Vegas strip in both directions, a great view needless to say. We were also there for a bowling tournament, won a couple of hundred but gave most of it back in the casinos. Sue did better in the casino and actually came home a few hundred ahead, a rare occasion for sure. We had Valentine's dinner at Delmonico's and I also played a round of golf at Royal Links. Overall the trip was pretty good.
