16 more days till our due date!!!!

Yep we are back with another update. Sad to say that there is not much to update. We went to see the OB on Thursday and finally confirmed that we will have a c-section. Now we have to wait for the scheduling lady to call us and set up a specific date. Other than that Sophie had a great heartbeat and great movement. Oh yeah, at 37 weeks and 3 days we were not even dilated!!! My cervix is still hard. Sophie is still in a transverse position, so I don't see labor happening naturally any time soon. This is all very frustrating to me cause there are people all around me that are due around the same time and are already having their babies!!!! I know its not true but I feel like I am going to be the woman who ends up being pregnant for 46 years!!!! That, and I have to wait for some lady to take her sweet time scheduling our c-section. So, at this rate we may go until our due date or even past. Sorry for venting, I am just very frustrated and uncomfortable. Work is getting harder as I am having more difficulty getting around, and I am very exhausted when I come home. I feel that I should be able to do so much more and hate the fact that I cannot. I plan on working up until the day of our c-section or if by some miracle we go into labor, so essentially I have about 2 weeks of work left. Next week we see the high risk doctor on Wed and the OB on Thur. Hopefully, they will measure and weigh Sophie on Wed so we can guesstimate how big this little stinker is. We will make sure to let everyone know when we find out the date of our c-section, so for now just hold tight, make sure your seatbelt is fastened and enjoy the roller coaster ride we are on!!!!

We have 3 weeks left!!!

Yep, it looks like the doctors want to wait until the 39th week to do anything. If Sophie goes that long she will probably be delivered by C-section. So, Sophie will be born some time the week of March 23rd. Its getting down to the wire!!! At our visits this week both mommy and baby are doing great! My blood glucose levels are finally in order and my Hemoglobin A1C was at 4.6!!!! My blood pressure is great and I only have a little bit of swelling. Sophie is in the 67th percentile for size, which is pretty good considering she is a gestational diabetes baby! She is still in a transverse position and loves to cause mommy pain. Other than that things are pretty good. I am still working full time and probably will up until she is born. The only hard parts right now are that my belly is so big that I am always uncomfortable. Its hard to sleep at night and I still have to stay on this horrible diet. Well, thats our update for this week!
